A charitable organization sending computers to Africa and equipping people with tech skills

Africa Code

Digital skills are essential in the 21st century. We believe that every individual should have access to computers and the training to use them effectively. We aim to make this a reality by providing computers and training to communities throughout Ghana.

What do we do ?

Collect

We gather used computers and prepare them for educational use in schools and communities.

Ship

We ship the computers to Ghana and install them at our partner institutions in the Ashanti region.

Teach

We execute intensive training programs for students and teachers to more fully integrate ICT into the classroom.

Our Origin

Philipp met Sam in 2018 in a “kente” cloth shop in a small village in central Ghana and the two science teachers hit it off. The next day, while visiting the school where Philipp taught, he had one simple request:

“Can you help us get a computer?”

With that, Kente Connect was born. Since then, it has grown
into a community committed to empowering individuals throughout Africa with both hardware (computers) and software (knowledge).
